EIS Schedule

The TAPS Renewal EIS will be completed by the end of 2002.

The Final EIS and Record of Decision will be published approximately 17 months from the date of publication of the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare the EIS, about November or December 2002.

• The NOI was published on July 31, 2001.
• The Draft EIS public comment period began with the release of the DEIS on July 5, 2002. The Draft EIS public comment period ended Aug 20, 2002. For more information, see Getting Involved.
• Public hearings for the TAPS Renewal Draft EIS, the State of Alaska Commissioner's Statement of Reasons and Proposed Written Determination, and ANILCA 810 Subsistence were held in seven Alaskan communities from July 26 - August 9, 2002. A schedule of public meetings for the TAPS Renewal Draft EIS is available under "Public Meeting Schedule/Locations."
• The final EIS (FEIS) was published November 29, 2002. The FEIS and related documents can be viewed and/or downloaded via this web site. CD-ROM copies may also be ordered via this web site.
